ABOUT
The Blend is part of the Gabriëlskloof Range, together with our Rosebud, "The Blanc" Sauvignon Blanc, Synonym Chenin Blanc and Syrah. This range offers a selection of boutique-style wines that always over-deliver on quality and value.

CLIMATE & VITICULTURE
The 2024 vintage was marked by a wet winter and spring, fostering vigorous vineyard growth, whilst challenging weather during flowering resulted in lower yields. Despite reduced quantities, the 2024 wines showcase intense characteristics balanced by a lively freshness, a testament to the vineyard's robust early-season development.

VINIFICATION
After careful hand-picking, the bunches were destemmed and gravity-fed into fermentation tanks, enabling whole-berry fermentation. Naturally fermented and aged 18 months in older French barrique. The wine's components are Cabernet Sauvignon (54%), Cabernet Franc (16%), Merlot (12%), Petit Verdot (12%), and Malbec (6%).

TASTING NOTE
A complex and alluring nose shows plum, mulberry and black forest cake. The palate is lively and nicely weighted, led by ample crushed red and black fruits, with freshness from spearmint and the texture and crunch of red apple skin. Dry tannins and hints of leather deliver a comforting, savoury finish.
