FARRO AT Gabriëlskloof

We have partnered with husband-and-wife duo, Alex and Eloise Windebank, to bring their critically acclaimed restaurant, Farro, to our farm.

When we first met Alex and Eloise and experienced their food, we knew Farro was the perfect fit for Gabriëlskloof. The pair – who met while working the restaurant scene in London before relocating to South Africa – brought Farro to life largely as a result of their joint love of food, wine and the 30 years of restaurant experience between them. 

The food will be seasonally led, and the menu will constantly evolve and celebrate all the Botrivier region has to offer. Alex is well known for his take on wholesome, classic and comforting dishes – embracing simplicity and respecting the ingredients. 

If you’ve ever had the pleasure of eating at Farro, then you’ll be happy to see favourites like the velvety duck liver parfait, black cherry and buttery brioche toast; seasonal veloutés and melt in the mouth pork belly with mustard sauce and greens. These will be joined by a selection of dishes inspired by country life in the Overberg.

Farro at Gabriëlskloof is open for breakfast and lunch from Monday to Sunday from 09h00 – 17h00 (last orders in at 15h00).
