The Blanc 2025

ABOUT
"The Blanc" is the new name for our Gabriëlskloof Sauvignon Blanc, part of the Gabriëlskloof Range. We chose this name for obvious reasons – it's a playful nod to the variety itself whilst giving our Sauvignon Blanc its own distinct identity. Together with the Rosebud, Synonym Chenin Blanc, The Blend and Syrah, this range offers a selection of boutique-style wines that always over-deliver on quality and value.

CLIMATE & VITICULTURE
The 2025 vintage benefited from a late, wet winter and ideal spring conditions, though early flowering faced challenges from wind and rain. The season progressed into a mild, dry summer followed by hot conditions that accelerated harvest timing.

VINIFICATION
The Sauvignon Blanc 2025 was fermented wild in stainless steel tanks and left on its lees for seven months before bottling.

TASTING NOTE
A rockpool salinity and kelpy freshness mingle with blackcurrant and white flowers on the nose, whilst the palate is bracingly fresh and yet with rounded edges, showing litchis and green tropical fruits. The mouthfeel has a crunchy, watermelon-rind character that keeps the wine focused – and very moreish.
