Farro is owned and run by the husband-and-wife duo of Alex and Eloise Windebank, known for their classic-meets-comfort style of cooking together with the casually convivial hospitality.
The focus of the food at Farro stays true to the restaurant's ethos and showcases a seasonally led, constantly evolving a la carte menu. Dishes are wholesome, classic and comforting – Farro is all about embracing simplicity, respecting the ingredient and celebrating all the region has to offer. Chef Alex focuses on sourcing produce from local suppliers. His ethos is to use well-grown produce and treat it with respect to bring out the maximum flavour.
The wine list at Farro features all the Gabriëlskloof wines per glass, as well as wines made (by others) in the Gabriëlskloof cellar.
