ABOUT
Rosebud forms part of our Gabriëlskloof Range: wines crafted with care and attention to detail, yet made to be enjoyed on release.
VINEYARD NOTES
The 2026 vintage was shaped by a notably dry season that drove one of our earliest harvests, with several varieties in close to a month ahead of the previous year. An intense ripening period was followed by early rains and cooler weather, which led to a slower-paced ripening, allowing fruit to be picked at ideal freshness. Careful irrigation and the vines’ strong reserves delivered healthy yields with excellent concentration and lively natural acidity. 90% of the fruit is from Bot River.
WINEMAKING
A blend of 60% Grenache, 24% Syrah, 7% Semillon, 7% Sauvignon Blanc and 2% Muscat d’Alexandrie. Whole-bunch pressed, then fermented and aged in tank.
TASTING NOTE
A bright and fruit-driven vintage, with rose, pomegranate and blood-orange peel on the nose. The palate is crunchy and juicy, with raspberry, strawberry and watermelon set against a refreshing, rhubarb-sorbet acidity. Lip-smackingly fresh, and a touch more fruit-forward than vintages past.
