Led by Chef Jen Ward, we celebrate seasonal ingredients, fire-cooked flavour, and the joyful mess of real hospitality. Our menu leans proudly on Overberg suppliers — sourdough with sweet potato and rosemary, roast Elgin apples, biltong-spiced sirloin, and pickled waterblommetjies.
We cook with care and a deep love of feeding people well. The wood-fire oven is the heart of our kitchen: expect fire-roasted vegetables, seared sirloin, and flatbreads served hot from the flames.
There's something for every appetite: hearty breakfasts, generous sharing platters, rustic mains, and nostalgic puddings. The Moerkoffie Affogato and Mom's apple pudding might just cause fights at the table.

The Kitchen Door is situated at Gabriëlskloof. It's the kind of place that makes you want to linger a little longer than planned.
Before you head off (though we hope you'll stay for another glass), pop into our Tasting Room to meet our wines properly, or browse The Kitchen Door Pantry for a few farm treasures to take home. Better yet, take a wander through the vineyards or olive groves.
