All the fruit was hand-picked, and whole bunch pressed. Fermentation and ageing took place in barrel and tank. On the nose, signature white pepper with violets and blackcurrant flavours of Shiraz combine with baking spice. The wine has a palate-filling mouthfeel with a creamy, velvety finish, and will continue improving and developing for five to eight years after harvest.
Angela Lloyd's Tasting note in Platter 2019:
"Balances youthful approachability of syrah’s comfortable breadth, focused dark soft berries & spice, with firm structural support. 2016 a satisfying whole at a more than satisfying price. 88pts"
