Greengage, quince and pea shoots lead the aromas before light honey and basil. The palate has a dried Grannysmith apple skin texture; the mid-palate filled out with nougat and salted macadamias — and a hint of yellow fruit and hay as it opens up. The latter notes are sure to develop with time in bottle, but the wine has a freshness and precision in its youth as is.
